How to Influence Other People

Influencing people in a dealing situation is about more than just speaking to those people and forcing those people to believe what they are telling. It is about the entire interaction which unites the listener and the narrator in one thinking process.

Systematize your views. Make a decision on your goal; what is the topic you need to deal with, why is it significant, and what do you need your viewers to do with the ideas you provide them? You want to be acquainted with your viewers -- their backdrops, their position, their inspirations, their qualification, their character, their talents and their skills.

Convey your message. Formulate an opener to hold your spectators' concentration. Expect all kinds of responses both positive and negative. Try to keep eye contact, speak at their level, smile and maintain your vigor up. You must have confidence in each word you utter. While talking, ensure to advance your views as a discourse and not a monologue .

Find out various responses. Make certain a stable relation between you and your viewers. Ask your viewers for their views, thoughts and queries. Never use negative energies; you don't all the time need to protect your thoughts. Be attentive to non-verbal symbols of distress and divergence, and admit your viewers' questions.

Try to be work -oriented. Inquire what you require from your viewers. All the time review your thoughts and decide on the next steps as a group.
